About Ratings & Comments

Central Florida's most exciting new links called for all of architect Steve Smyers' years of skill and experience in golf course design. The goal — to build a challenging test of golf, a pleasurable experience for all skill levels, a stern challenge for long-hitting players. As a reclaimed phosphate mine with few stands of native oaks, the original terrain was flat. The topography now features undulating fairways (six connected by winding bridges) and multi-tiered tees and greens, many surrounded by strategic bunkering and well-placed mounding. This flow of the land around the greens was carried onto the putting surfaces, resulting in many slopes, ridges, and numerous potential hole locations. Bridgewater requires 'thought' to play skillfully and rewards classic shot-making with an extra risk/ reward approach. Located 1 mile off I-4 in Lakeland, it's an easy 25-minute shot from the Kissimmee area.
Added-value: comp range balls, $20 gift certificate toward golf apparel.
