Port St Lucie, Florida     (Return to Previous Page)

With over 21 miles of white powder beaches and acres of unspoiled natural habitat, Florida's "Treasure Coast," with Port St. Lucie and the PGA Village at its center, offers visitors a peaceful, relaxing golf destination miles away from the long lines and crowded freeways found in Florida's larger destinations. Theme parks and over the top theme resorts are supplanted by a wide variety of water sports, dolphin and manatee watching, and, of course, great golf!

At the center of it all, the PGA Village offers three dynamic golf courses designed by Pete Dye and Tom Fazio as well as the finest accommodations at the Perfect Drive Golf Villas at PGA Village. Located just minutes from the incredible facilities at the PGA Golf Club, Perfect Drive Golf Villas offer one- and two-bedroom units that are fully furnished with kitchen, living room, dining room, and bedrooms with screened in privacy porches. A popular choice for golf groups for years, these villas are spacious and comfortable.

PGA Golf Club - Dye Course Minutes from the Perfect Drive Golf Villas, the PGA Golf Club boasts three championship golf courses, the Dye Course (Pete Dye), the Ryder Course (Tom Fazio), and the Wanamaker Course (Tom Fazio) along with state of the art practice facilities and the PGA Learning Center. The Dye Course takes advantage of the natural habitat as it winds around a 90-acre natural wetland dubbed "Big Mamu." The Ryder Course, with its rolling hills and majestic pine trees, has more of a North Carolina feel to it versus a traditional Florida course. The Wanamaker Course is a classic Florida layout set against a backdrop of wetlands, palm trees, and palmettos. Each of the three courses at the PGA Golf Club offers a unique challenge to the golfer set in a beautiful, virtually undisturbed setting.

Of course there are other options when visiting Port St. Lucie. Eagle Marsh, just east of Port St. Lucie in nearby Jensen Beach, is a 240-acre wildlife preserve with a tremendous Tommy Fazio golf course in the middle of it. The blending of the natural beauty of the land and the golf course is almost unrecognizable as the course presents a formidable test of golf while maintaining the integrity of the environment.

Eagle Marsh Golf Club South of Port St. Lucie in Palm City, Hammock Creek is a stern test for golfers of all abilities. Notable for being the first course co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus, Jr., Hammock Creek features well-maintained fairways, multi-tiered greens, and holes that wind through the natural pine forests and wetlands. A full-service restaurant and bar as well as fabulous practice facilities compliment this must play course.

Additionally, the Holiday in Port St. Lucie, Mainstay Suites Port St. Lucie, Sheraton's PGA Vacation Resort, Springhill Suites, and Hilton Garden Inn at PGA Village offer a variety of well-appointed hotel rooms and suites with varying amenities designed to meet the needs of every family or group.
