Woodmont Country Club is a classic South Florida country club that offers 36 holes of championship golf. Since opening in 1974, the club had been completely private and therefore unknown to traveling golfers. However, a recent ownership change included a conversion to semi-private status and the club is now eager for non-member play. Since opening its doors to the public, the club has become one of the most popular venues in the area among local players. The Cypress course is the longer and most often played course of the two on property. From the tips it plays to just over 7,000 yards, and has underwent some recent needed renovations, including re-grassing all eighteen greens to the popular new Champion Bermuda. Anyone planning to play in the Fort Lauderdale area should consider this facility.
