| 03/13/2008 - This course was all about the last three golf holes
And a must to play from the back tees to really enjoy the layout Posted by Robert (North Attleboro, MA) |
| 01/02/2008 - Now, if only my golf game was as good! Posted by Sue (West Chester, PA) |
| 03/29/2007 - This is the workhorse of the resort complex. Interesting holes, variety, good risk reward, very good greens. Pleasant pro staff, less than friendly starters (grumpy old men, probably wish they were playing). Good enough for multiple rounds. Going back next year! Posted by Zachary (Cape Elizabeth, ME) |

The Oak Marsh Golf Course is one of the truly classic Pete Dye designed golf courses in the world. The course was built in 1972 shortly after the completion of the Harbour Town Golf Links at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Oak Marsh is noted for its tight fairways and small greens, meandering along serpentine salt marsh creeks and through the moss draped heritage oaks that Amelia Island is famous for.
At par 72, this 6,500 yard course has fourteen holes with water hazards and numerous bulkheaded greens. A variety of bunkers are placed throughout the course to add to the challenge and a natural approach has been maintained as well with the use of coquina shell cart paths, native plant life and preserved habitats for the local wildlife. Walking is allowed after 4:00 pm.
