| 06/11/2007 - We had torrential rains during the first few holes and we had to stop due to lightening after the first few holes. Luckily we stopped at the cafe on the 11th or 12th hole and waited it out. When it cleared, a bunch of us just started up where we left off and we were able to finish our round. I think it messed up the day for the people running the course, but they didn't seem to mind at all and were great about it. We had a fantastic experience. Posted by Joan (Peabody, MA) |

The par-70 Palmer Course at Saddlebrook plays much longer than it's 6,469 yards. With water on 17 of the 18 holes, players find themselves thinking their way around this Arnold Palmer design. The par-five, fourth hole is a perfect example with water on the right and out of bounds on the left off the tee. The second shot doesn't get any easier with trees lining both sides of the fairway. Finally, an elevated and well-trapped green awaits your third shot as you attempt to reach the green in regulation. Overall, you'll find the Palmer Course to provide an enjoyable day of golf with rolling fairways and receptive, undulating greens.
