BALD HEAD ISLAND CLUBBALD HEAD ISLAND, NC The Bald Head Island course is a seaside masterpiece located on the southernmost of the North Carolina Cape Islands. Like the links courses in Ireland and Scotland, seven holes on the course stretch across rolling dunes overlooking the ocean. The balance of the course wraps around fifteen fresh water lakes and winds through a maritime forest. The ocean wind always plays a role in club selection and shot making requiring golfers to pay attention to course management. The course architect, George Cobb (consultant to Bobby Jones during the construction of Augusta National), left much of the land the way he found it; carved by wind and water, making Bald Head Island Club a natural beauty to be enjoyed by golfers of all playing abilities. |
