About PGA National-The Champion (Palm Beach Gardens, FL)
Originally designed by Tom and George Fazio for major tournament play, The Champion course at PGA National Resort & Spa was redesigned by Jack Nicklaus in 1990 and now hosts the PGA TOUR's Honda Classic each March. Although The Champion has generous landing areas and large TifEagle greens, golfers are presented with course management challenges throughout the round. However, the course has five sets of tees to make it enjoyable for all golfers. The layout is best known for "The Bear Trap," which spans three demanding holes designed by Jack Nicklaus. USA Today calls The Bear Trap "one of the toughest stretches in golf."

Anthony (The Woodlands, TX) says:
No chipping or bunker practice areas. Course is over-hyped and not worth the premium price imposed by the requirement to stay at the resort. Rough was 3-4" long and nasty. Nevertheless, the course was OK from the appropriate tees. We got very little value from having a forecaddie, which for us was an unnecessary required fee and expected large tip. Because the course was cart path-only, walking and using a regular caddie might be the way to go.

Greg (Chagrin Falls, OH) says:
Course was great, although very wet from rain the previous days. Still, it's one of the prettiest courses I've ever played. Didn't think it's as hard as billed.
