The course recently underwent a "design renaissance" by original architect, Pete Dye. Dye was blessed with a tremendous location for a golf course and he simply perfected his original vision. Bordered by the James River, the layout takes you through beautiful tree-lined fairways with dramatic views of the James and surrounding area. Ranked #8 in Virginia by Golfweek, The River is best known for hosting both PGA and LPGA events and is currently host to the LPGA's Michelob ULTRA Open each May.
