Barefoot Resort - Fazio Course ~ 2.13 miles (Not Driving Distance)
In addition to the Love Course listed above, you'll find three more world-class championship courses designed by Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, and Greg Norman. Each is accompanied by the kind of imaginative detail you find in a Hollywood spectacular. The Norman Course hugs the coastal wetlands. The Fazio Course is wide and wanders in and out of tree cover and alongside lakes, wetlands, and bunkers. The Dye Course is set on a beautiful section of land and features waste bunkers on almost every hole.... more info.
Barefoot Resort - Love Course ~ 2.13 miles (Not Driving Distance)
As a Carolina native, Davis Love III is a true fan of "Lowcountry" golf. Love's creation at Barefoot Resort shows his roots of traditional Carolina golf, but also exemplifies the best of modern design with a visually impressive selection of holes. There's plenty of room in the landing areas, but trouble is never too far away. The course also features outstanding playing conditions with three different types of Bermuda grass used on the greens, fairways, and rough. Also consider the other three courses at Barefoot Resort by Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, and Greg Norman..... more info.
The Witch Golf Club ~ 15.97 miles (Not Driving Distance)
You must play The Witch, which was rated 4 1/2 stars by Golf Digest's "Best Places to Play." Course designer Dan Maples built 4,000 feet of bridges just to connect all the holes. The front side plays through the majority of these natural hazards while the back moves over more rolling, wooded terrain. The entire setting is removed from the distractions of homes and hotels. As Golf Magazine says, "There is probably not another course like this Dan Maples jewel any place in the world." Make sure The Witch is on your roster of "must-play" courses.... more info.
Oyster Bay Golf Links (Legends) ~ 17.43 miles (Not Driving Distance)
A longtime favorite of Myrtle Beach visitors, Oyster Bay is one of Dan Maples' most celebrated golf course designs. Along with developer Larry Young, Maples set out to create a course "where variety and innovation are the name of the game." The course features severe marsh-oriented holes, two island green par threes, beautiful fresh water lakes, and a wonderful combination of both short and long holes. Known for its wickedly undulating greens, Oyster Bay will test your mettle from start to finish.... more info.
