Located in Port Orange, just 10 minutes south of Daytona Beach, this city-owned public course is one of the best in Volusia County. Designed by Arthur Hills and Mike Dasher, the 6800-yard layout honored by Golf Digest as one of the "Best Places to Play" is set among acres of natural wildlife with water or wetlands coming into play on 14 holes. Locals and visitors alike rave about the 478-yard, par-four 14th hole with water in play off the tee and on your approach shot. Venetian Bay Golf Club ~ 11.26 miles (Not Driving Distance)
Located 45 minutes northeast of Orlando and just 20 minutes south of Daytona in New Smyrna Beach, this private Clifton, Ezell & Clifton designed course opened in 2008 and features two distinctly different natural nines. While the front nine plays through natural woodlands, the back features parallel fairways and a links style feel. At over 7000 yards from the tips with over 100 bunkers (114 at last count!) and water on 16 holes, Venetian Bay can sound intimidating, but it's not. Bill Amick designed this semi-private course, which is nestled among towering pines, century-old oaks, and natural vegetation. Water comes into play on only two holes, but the layout is still one of the most picturesque and challenging in the area. A beautiful, spacious clubhouse completes this outstanding golf facility.
