The greens were completely unfair, as to be all but unputtable. The pin placements were in very punishing positions. We would definitely not play here again.

Very nice course. I think my previous post was accidentally intended for another course. We like this one a lot....all around great experience. Fairways are forgiving but challenges everywhere. The course rewards a good shot but doesn't crush you on a bad one. The greens are in great shape and the course handles water very well. We played within 1 hour after a monsoon! Club staff is very nice...

We loved this course and the gentlemen who met us at the cars and loaded our clubs was very good. The gentlemen working behind the counter in the pro shop could have been a little more friendly. The merchandis in the pro shop was way over priced. The two bag boys that met us when we came in were great.

Good first or last day course. Nothing special but very little water and several decent holes. The rough was browned out due to lack of rain. the greens and fairways were in good shape.

Great starter course. Easy to roll out of the plane and start swinging because it is wide open. Remember that all putts break hard to the swamp.

Very playable layout with plenty of room for drives. Not nearly as difficult as slope rating. Huge bunkers frame holes but most greens allowed run up shots. Big undulating greens were slow. Fairways were excellent surfaces but some bunkers needed maintenance. Clubhouse facilities are muni quality but bagman was efficient handling lots of players. Convenient location right off highway.

The driving range is a bit short - my husband kept hitting it through it with a driver but there were no signs that it was an irons only range. With all the rain Orlando got, the course was still very dry and the grass was pretty spotty. For the price we paid, it was acceptable.

Starter was excellent. He could see that the foursome ahead of us was going to cause problems for any group behind them. Went up and got them to let us play through on the first hole. I have never seen that before. Guy knew what he was doing.

About Highlands Reserve Golf Club (Davenport, FL)

Set atop one of the highest areas in the region, Highlands Reserve is not your typical Florida golf course. This championship design by Mike Dasher gives you tree-lined fairways reminiscent of the Carolinas, open spacious fairways likened to the great Scottish courses, and a bit of old Florida with citrus trees dotting the countryside. Large, fast, undulating greens make this course challenging and fun for all levels of golfers with water coming into play (barely) on just one hole, #10. It's a very sporty course and although it's a tad shorter in length, it can still be a "wee tough" if your game's not on.
