RECORD SURGE FOR ST ANDREWS BOOKINGS
The powers that be in St. Andrews, Scotland recently announced some staggering statistics regarding Old Course tee time applications. More than 1000 applications were received within 15 minutes for 2008 tee times when they were made available on Wednesday, September 5th. In order to give everyone an equal chance, golfers are invited to apply at that specific time each year. The reservations department will spend the next few weeks processing the applications on a first-come, first-served basis before sending out confirmations to those who have been successful and informing those who have not.
Obviously, the demand is up. However, the good news is we've had great luck getting Old Course tee times for our clients through the years. In addition, we'll once again have access to "guaranteed" tee times through our representatives in St. Andrews. If you're looking to play the Old Course in 2008, we highly advise planning sooner rather than later! DYE COURSE IMPROVEMENTS TO BE UNVEILED AT PGA GOLF CLUB
If you've ever been down to Port St. Lucie, you've probably played the Dye Course at PGA Club. Although the course is highly regarded by golf critics and visitors, Dye was (pardon the pun) dying to change the first hole. He didn't like that it seemed like golfers were stepping off a road onto the tee box. He also wanted to make some improvements to irrigation, cart paths, and bunkers. Dye got his wish as his "tweaks" are scheduled to make their debut on October 5th to the public. "I really like that golf course," says Dye. "I've always thought it's one of my better golf courses." We think you'll agree!
