The two trips outlined in this e-mail are as about as different as you can get. In Scotland, we've put together a four-night trip to St. Andrews where you'll stay at Rusacks Hotel, which is in one of golf's most enviable locations overlooking the 18th hole of the Old Course. This trip has you playing one of Scotland's hidden gems, Crail, along with rounds on the New and Old Course at St. Andrews. Best of all, we have guaranteed Old Course tee times available over certain dates through June, July, and August 2008.
In Ireland, you'll be traveling with your best golf partner (whether it's a family member or your buddy from the club) and competing against golfers from all over the globe in a one-of-a-kind golf event. The second annual North & West Coast Links Golf Challenge will be held September 7-13, 2008. This event is held in association with The North American Golf Tour Operators Alliance in Northwest and Northern Ireland. It's truly a trip for the adventurous!
Including practice round, the tournament will be played over five days taking in some of the finest links courses in the world including Royal Portrush, Portstewart, Ballyliffin, Rosapenna, and Portsalon. Tournament entry and format is based on two-person teams, Stableford Scoring, better ball. The best score for each hole will count as the team score. Maximum handicap is 24 for men, 28 for ladies. Overall winners will be the teams with the highest accumulated points over the four tournament rounds. In our opinion, this is one of the most interesting and fun events in all of golf. The hospitality and golf in this part of the world are second to none!
