Can you set up some packages for singles that bring their wives that do not play golf? All trips require at least two golfers to sign up on advertised rate. ~ Alan W.

Although every package is different and some resorts and courses have restrictions, in most cases we can set up a package for a single golfer and their non-golfing companion. Our best advice is to consult with our reservation/sales staff as to the prices for the non-golfer. Normally, we just reduce the price for the non-golfer by the golf fees. Just give us a call and we can help pin point the properties and packages that will work well for your particular trip. |

Did you know this week's PGA Tour event will be hosted by the brand new AT&T Oaks Course at TPC San Antonio? Sergio Garcia and Greg Norman worked together to lay out the 7,522 yarder. This course looks incredible and we'll see what the pros think this week! To check it out for yourself you must be a guest of the new JW Marriott San Antonio located right next door.
Did you know the word "birdie" comes from an American slang term "bird," which in the late 1800's meant anything excellent? From The USGA's website: "The term 'birdie' originated in the United States in 1899. H.B. Martin's Fifty Years of American Golf contains an account of a foursomes match played at the Atlantic City (N.J.) CC. One of the players, Ab Smith relates, "My ball... came to rest within six inches of the cup. I said 'That was a bird of a shot... I suggest that when one of us plays a hole in one under par he receives double compensation.' The other two agreed and we began right away, just as soon as the next one came, to call it a 'birdie'."
