About LPGA International - Champions (Daytona Beach, FL)
Located in Daytona Beach, LPGA International is an easy hour drive northeast of Orlando, located just off all major roads. The original course -- the Champions -- was chosen by Golf Magazine as one of the nation's "Top 10 Courses to Play." Home of the LPGA and former host of the LPGA Tour's Titleholder's Championship, this Rees Jones design is challenging, picturesque and certainly memorable. Featured are elevated tees and greens, dramatically rolling fairways that are bordered by large mounding and water bordering on 10 holes - always in meticulous playing condition. A first-class driving range with three regulation-length practice holes completes this top-notch facility, along with a clubhouse that boasts all the amenities a resort course is expected to have. Easily worth the drive from Orlando.

Top notch facility. Great from start to finish. Played 18 at each course in a day.

Ray says:
This is the fourth time I have played this course when visiting from the UK, it never lets me down, always in good condition and always enjoyable. Enough of a challenge without beating you up on every hole.

Julia A. (Beverly Hills, FL) says:
The Champions was in great condition and a real joy to play. We all said we would go back and play it again. The employees were all very helpful and a pleasure to work with.

Malcolm says:
Nice enough course that doesnt quite live up to its reputation. In England it would get a ten out of ten, but compared with the others we played it wasnt great. Lunch was only to be found in the snack bar which had poor quality burgers. Tee times ran late but the pace wasnt too bad.

Just a word about the restaurant. We ate two lunches on the veranda., It was wonderful and the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course was challenging but very nice. We enjoyed our time that we spent at both the Legends and the Champions. Thank youl

We thought the course was dull and lacking in "character". It surprised us, given that it's the home of the LPGA.

Michael (Belmont, MA) says:
Fine course. We don't like this course as much as Legends, and were upset that we were forced to play Champions in the morning even though we'd reserved, with a strong preference, a morning tee time at Legends to ensure that we completed 18 on that course. Pace of play was excruciatingly slow (nearly 5 hours), to which the very visible rangers could only offer apologies, instead of actually moving the pace along.
