About Alaqua Country Club (Longwood, FL)
Our customers are warmly invited to play this very exclusive private country club located in Longwood, just 15 minutes north of downtown Orlando. Exemplifying Gary Player's architectural style, Alaqua takes extraordinary care of the surrounding habitat as well as maintaining this memorable layout in fantastic playing condition. A very challenging "members-only" experience, Alaqua provides the best pace of play anywhere in Orlando (3+ hours). Fairways are gently rolling and weave their way through large forests and scenic, lush vegetation. You'll find all types of abundant wildlife carousing the fairways; native foul, wild turkey and all sizes of deer roaming the course. After golf, enjoy their new spacious clubhouse with a sophisticated bar, cozy dining accommodations, and a breezy outside patio for your "apres golf" libations!

Only major disappointment of the trip. This was always one of our favorites but we wouldn't even think about going back there for several years. Major construction intrudes on the course but the fairways and greens are just awful. It's as if they completely stopped maintaining the course while the construction goes on. Stay away!
