Naples, Florida     (Return to Previous Page)

OVERVIEW:
Like much of the Gulf Coast of Southwest Florida, Naples has long been a top vacation destination for national and international travelers. The area consistently blends the relaxed atmosphere of the beautiful sandy beaches with the luxury and elegance for which it is truly famous. World class international shopping, the finest cuisine, and an endless supply of outdoor activities (including a number of championship golf courses) are just a few of the reasons vacationers keep choosing Naples when considering their next trip.

Hammock Bay Golf Club GOLF HIGHLIGHTS:
Beachview, a par-71 layout on nearby Sanibel Island, is set in natural surroundings alongside the scenic Sanibel River. A member of the Audubon's Cooperative Sanctuary Program, Beachview promises that visitors will not only be impressed by the course conditions, but also by the first-class club facilities and helpful professional staff.

Since opening in 2001, CopperHead Golf Club, a par-72 championship course designed by Gordon Lewis, has enticed golfers with island tees, whispering pines, and elevated greens. Located just 10 minutes from the Southwest Florida International Airport in Ft Myers, it's convenient for day of arrival or departure golf.

Close by on Marco Island, Hammock Bay is a beautiful collaboration between WCI and PGA Tour player Peter Jacobsen. A favorite among better amateur players, many regard Hammock Bay as the absolute best golf course in southwest Florida.

Billed as the only "stand alone" Jack Nicklaus course in Southwest Florida, Old Corkscrew Golf Club is set on 275 acres and reflects its original natural setting with stands of cypress and magnificently tall pines. Nicklaus' design philosophy is apparent throughout with well-balanced holes that vary indirection, look, and feel.

Chip Powell's design at Pelican Preserve has plenty of water, sand, and grass hollow hazards, yet Powell balances it out with generous landing areas and gently contoured TifEagle "Ultradwarf" greens.

At Raptor Bay, a WCI partnership with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, PGA Tour legend Raymond Floyd's unique use of native sand and palmetto areas left the course devoid of any sand bunkers. Instead, golfers will encounter these sandy native or waste areas adjacent to greens and fairways.

Located south of Ft. Myers in Estero is Stoneybrook, one of the longest courses in Florida at 7353 yards. Featuring the "Magnificent 7 Tees," (that's right, seven sets of tees!), this upscale public course runs through immense preserve areas and a variety of pines, oaks, and cypress heads.

Open since fall '07, the Signature Davis Love III design at River Hall Country Club is a private golf course built within the gates of a masterfully planned LandMar community. The layout stretches over 7,000 yards from the tips and adheres to Love's philosophy that "modern courses should be designed in a traditional manner."
