As the touring professional for Kingsmill, Curtis Strange was asked to design a third course to complement the River and Plantation Courses. Strange and Tom Clark were given a fantastic piece of land tucked away in the corner of the resort to work with. The result is the Woods Course with deep ravines and thick stands of hardwood trees as well as some of the most dramatic elevation changes in the area. The course has been honored by Golf Magazine as one of the "Top Ten New Courses Available
