About Trump National Doral Resort Courses
Trump National Doral Blue Monster ------------------ 7105-75.6-140 6602-72.4-140 6136-70.0-134 5585-68.1-133 The Blue Monster, home of the 2007 WGC-CA Championship, has hosted prestigious PGA Tour events for the past 40 years. In fact, virtually every great name in golf has had a moment of glorious personal triumph on this world-class track. Originally designed by Dick Wilson, and later restored by Raymond Floyd, golfers won't find a more challenging or spectacular golf course. At 7,125 yards from the tournament tees, and with a series of strategically placed bunkers, both length and finesse are needed to score well on this historic course. The Blue Monster features long fairways, undulating green, a deep Bermuda rough and a unique assortment of water hazards. The famous 18th hole, with its signature fountain, was ranked by GOLF Magazine as one of the Top 100 Holes in the World. Trump National Doral Gold Palm Course ----------------- 6639-72.5-133 6209-70.2-128 5757-68.4-117 5179-69.8-117 PGA Tour legend Raymond Floyd recently redesigned this course to follow a traditional Florida layout, incorporating gently contoured greens, strategic bunkering and water surrounding 16 holes. The course features narrow, tree-lined fairways and finishes with a dramatic par 4 island green on the 18th hole. This course hosted the 1999 PGA Qualifying School finals. Trump National Doral Silver Fox Course ------------------- 7105-75.6-153 6197-71.1-129 5589-73.0-125 4738-67.1-117 The Jim McLean Signature Course at Doral, formerly known as the Silver Course. The new layout is named after acclaimed golf instructor Jim McLean, a Top 100 Instructor who has operated the Jim McLean Golf School at Trump National Doral for the past 20 years. It is unique among courses in the Southeast because it presents a variety of challenges that include three of the toughest starting holes in golf, a series of phenomenal par 3s, and "The Bermuda Triangle" of the 13th through 15th holes. In addition, the course was grassed with certified Tifway 419 Bermuda grass to provide more consistent playing conditions, a new irrigation system was installed, new continuous cart paths ere constructed, and bunkers were designed to complement the course's overall strategy. The increased course length went from 6,557 yards to more than 7,100 yards. A must play on your list. Trump National Doral Red Tiger Course ---------------- 6101-69.4-131 5988-69.0-129 5393-66.2-119 5096-69.1-118 Unique to the Red Course are two island greens, holes 6 and 14. This course forces golfers to use strategy and shot placement, rather than driving for show. Featuring 14 water holes with fairways winding around several lakes, the course provides breath-taking beauty and exhilarating challenges, without intimidating length. This course hosted the LPGA in 2001 for the Office Depot Championship.
