About Rio Pinar Country Club

The course continues to host many current professional and amateur events. The real attraction at Rio Pinar Country Club is the expert design which challenges players of all skill and age levels, from the seasoned pro to the young rookie. Loved it. Greens are fast but fair and consistent. Although there was a tournament we never got held up.

Its old, a classic, a bit wet after thunderstorms the previous two afternoons. But an enjoyable day of golf. DO NOT feed the fox squirrels. You will have a gallery of 5 or 6 of them follow you for the next three holes. It was fairly quiet since we played in July
    DICK PERRY(MARCELLUS - NY) 3/20/2017
Good course. Not as good as Champions Gate CC or Harmony Preserve
    PAUL PIANTEK(MIDDLETOWN - CT) 3/8/2017
First time here, very pleased. Greens were beautiful, stall was excellent. This is not your typical Florida layout, more traditional. We liked it a lot. Will play it again.
    TRACY WALLACE(NEWBURGH - IN) 3/7/2017
Nice old course to start the week on.
    CHAD SEIBEL(MOUNT PLEASANT - PA) 2/20/2017
I bit hilly, but over all not too bad
    BILL BALES(CARMEL - IN) 1/30/2017
    Seemed a little tired.

Very interesting course, good condition, worth playing.
    Andy(Montreal) 12/19/2016
Love the layout. Well maintained. Accomodating staff. Before Arnie's Bay Hill they played the tourney here.
    JOSEPH MCKEEVER(BELCAMP - MD) 11/14/2016
We were fortunate to arrive super early to the golf course, if we hadn't I'm not sure what would have happened. We got squeezed in between two golf outings and teed off 30 min prior to our reserved time on holes 11 (doubled) and 12. This was a minor inconvenience as most of our guys were unable to warm up prior to golf. Even though we were between two tournaments, pace of play was relatively quick. There were some in our group that didn't like this course as much as others that we played, I really enjoyed it. The course is fair in my opinion, even if you hit into the woods you can find and play your ball. I didn't lose a golf ball the entire day!
    RAY MAILLOUX(WYOMING - RI) 4/11/2016
Good course for day of arrival or departure. Could have had the fairways mowed but other then that it was a nice course. We would consider playing it again.
    BILL CHRUSCIAL(IRWIN - PA) 4/11/2016
This course was recommended. We liked it and would play it again.
    RODERICK DONALDSON(DETROIT - MI) 4/7/2016
    Awesome
    TONY ANDREW(ROCKPORT - MA) 3/28/2016
Course was a pleasant surprise, greens were excellent and history of course made it fun.
    JOHN DINAPOLI(STURBRIDGE - MA) 3/28/2016
This was our first time her. Except for the rain delay it was a nice course. The greens were "fantastic". The best out of the 4 we played. The food service was slow. We hope they consider having sandwiches already made for folks making the turn. We lost our place but it all worked out. Keep up the good work.
    TOM PARADIS(ROCKPORT - MA) 3/28/2016
The clubhouse was a little dated and the facilities could use some TLC but the course was in a good shape. First time playing here and was quite happy with the layout and challenging nature of the course.
    DICK PERRY(MARCELLUS - NY) 3/21/2016
    We like Rio Pinar.
    Wayne(The Villages, FL) 2/25/2016
A fun track that had a lot of character to it. Definitely will play again
    Daniel(Buffalo) 4/3/2015
Surprising course. Next time I will play right off the plane
    GARY DEMKO(LAKEWOOD - OH) 3/30/2015
a very good first round of the trip course. not a typical Florida layout in that it was tree lined. Very enjoyable afternoon with very good service provided.
    ROB SEALS(CARSON CITY - MI) 3/30/2015
    Way past it's prime
    Steven() 3/20/2015
    Good warm up course.
    GENE NEAL(PANAMA CITY BEACH, - FL) 3/11/2015
GREENS WERE BETTER THAN THE FIRST 2 COURSES PLAYED... BEER PRICES WAY TO HIGH !!
    PATRICK LEARY(BERLIN - MD) 3/9/2015
Older course and clubhouse but a really nice track. Food was great and so was service
    Jennifer() 3/7/2015
Course was fine but extremely busy and the couple we were paired with didn't show up so we were a 2 ball amongst Fours which made it exceptionally slow. When it started raining we gave up so didn't play last 6 holes
    Mika(Pickering, ON) 2/26/2015
a pretty decent course, greens were nice but the fairways were alittle on the rough side, alittle tlc and it could be a very nice track
    JOHN MICCICHE(MIDDLE RIVER - MD) 1/26/2015
This course was 'average' at best. The front 9 were in reasonable shape. The back 9 were much more enjoyable, with some 'flavor' in terms of appearance and unique play challenges. This is a good course if you are looking for a place to play (locally), but for travelers or golf trips, not a lot to make the round memorable.
    RICHARD SAMA(ENFIELD - CT) 3/24/2014
We like the layout, but the course still needs work.
    WILLIAM BURKE(HAMPSTEAD - NH) 3/30/2011
staff and the course were great. always wanted to play it. will play again. little bit of old florida. great stuff.
    STEPHEN MOORE(PATASKALA - OH) 2/28/2011
Obvious that they really don't like outsiders playing their course
    ROGER WALKER(GAHANNA - OH) 2/28/2011
It was apparent from the conversation and the attitudes in the pro shop and arund the course that they were tolerating outside players and didn't really want them to be there. they insisted we rush to play 3 - 1/2 hour rounds because that's how members played. If they want us there, treat us like it.
