About Preserve at Tara Golf Club

Conveniently located just minutes from I-75 on State Road 70, The Preserve Golf Club is a par 72, 7000-yard test of skill. The high quality Champion Ultra Dwarf Greens ensure the best possible conditions for any golf round. This top-tier brand was recently installed at the Atlanta Athletic Club (2011 PGA Championship site) and the Seminole Golf Club (#1 course in the state). Exceptional care is taken at the Preserve to protect and enhance the native wetlands and other natural features of the property. Florida's tropical splendor creates a beautiful backdrop for an enjoyable test of golf. The 3 ½ star Ted McAnlis signature design layout is a shot maker's course with four sets of tees. Friends can enjoy a bite and a cold beverage at the Preserve Golf Club's beautiful Florida-style clubhouse overlooking the 10th and 18th holes.

    Great course..most difficult of the ones we played..great test of golf.. highly recommend playing if in the area.
    TY() 3/20/2017
    Course conditions were horrible - the second worst our group has played in over 50 rounds on area courses. Just dirt and weeds on the front nine. Not worth any price. Truthfully, the back nine condition was much better than the front nine, but by then we were ready to walk off. I'm not sure what course the other reviewers were playing. We did not like the layout either, too many extreme doglegs to give credit for good drives. It was all I could do to get the guys to play out the 18 holes.
    Steve() 2/17/2017
    Really good track. Loved the greens and the fairways were in good shape. Some of the higher handicap guys lost quite a few golf balls so yes there is plenty of water. All in all the boys want to go back and play again next year.
    Robert(Cumberland, RI) 2/2/2017
    A lovely course.
    James(NY) 12/16/2016
    Arrived early and was not greeted nicely in Pro-shop. Even thought they had me on the list, questioned Tee Time USA and how they got paid. Asked them to call you, I already pre-paid. Nice layout from the tips, but the greens are new and very slow and soft. Not a course I would consider again, just based on greeting.
    Denzil a Sequeira(Bonita Springs) 11/4/2016
    This course needs some maintenance and upkeep.
    ML(Bradenton) 2/26/2016
    Enjoyed the course. Nice facility with good practice area. Played two rounds and enjoyed the course. Challenging, but not frustrating.
    James() 2/18/2016
    May not be the best kept course ever, but a delight to play, and challenging changes of length
    Paul(Toronto Canada) 12/7/2015
    Good layout course has been let go a little( ie) crab grass growing on greens
    Darlene(Largo) 8/18/2015
    Beautiful greens.
    Sally() 4/3/2015
    Course was ok. They did keep or shipped clubs safe and sound which was nice. WORST HOT DOG EVER!!!
    Richard Furlough() 3/19/2015
    This was a dog track! The tee boxes were shabby, fairways were not mowed, greens were being vericut as we played. Staff did not get out of the way so we could play through. restrooms were dirty
    Mark() 3/13/2015
    We had played the course some years ago and enjoyed it. However at this time, it was in pretty rough shape. The fairways were not filled in at all, with little grass to hit off. The greens looked poor, but rolled fairly well. Overall, a disappointment from our previous stay.
    Ken(Clarkston, MI) 1/31/2015
    Now that this area has built a private golf course on site, this course is neglected big time. this course is not 3.5 stars, maybe 2 to 2.5 stars as a stretch. Please do your homework when booking courses as most of the courses on this site are way overrated.
    Mike - Zion Crossroads, VA(, ) 1/23/2015
    Fairways were a little sparse, but greens were true and quite fast.
    John(Prospect, KY) 12/4/2014
    Older course that in all honestly was not in very good shape. Play was on the slow side and most likely will not request this course again. Thought the clubhouse and snack bar area could have been a little cleaner and more orderly.
    Hugo(NULL) 7/10/2014
    Very Good
    Wanda(Deerborn - MI) 2/20/2014
    Great course!
    Luann(Plymouth - MN) 2/14/2013
    Loved this course. Would come back and play this onemany times. Good upkeep and although busy - it moved along verywell. Rangers were great and kept play moving.
    Alex(Toronto - ON CANADA) 1/14/2013
    Beautiful course. Lots of water makes it challengingbut still a fun course to play for a high handicapper.
    Joe(Brookfield - WI) 3/31/2012
    Laura(St. John'S - NL CANADA) 3/9/2012
    Actually booked another tee time because we enjoyed the course and the friendly staff. Not overwhelming but enough of a challenge.
    Pat(Napanee - ON CANADA) 2/24/2012
    Beautiful course - staff is very accommodating - neverheld up throughout the course - well managed.
    Paul(Newport - NP10 9DY - UNITED KINGDOM) 12/2/2011
    A great course with many challenging holes for any golfer. Course in great shape. Great value for money.
    loved this golf course
    DANNY DIVERS(GLASGOW - ) 11/1/2010
    Course was fairly tight but not to difficult, enjoyed by all the party of 16.
    LONNIE MCCOY(NEW YORK - NY) 5/17/2010
    enjoyed it.
    This course is not the quality of others in the area, but it is a good course to play, as a 15 handicapper.
    LARRY DODDS(BEAVER - PA) 2/18/2009
    If you like water and carries over preserve areas you'll love this course. Very pretty & challenging.I've played better golf than here but it was just me. A bit more water than I'd remembered. It wore us out on the last day so much that we didn't even want to play an xtra 9. but I'd play it again.
